PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Four civilians, including three tribal elders, have been killed as a result of an airstrike in central Logar province, officials said on Sunday.
Adalat Abdul Rahimzai, the provincial council secretary, told Pajhwok Afghan News a house was hit in Padkhwab Shana area on the outskirts of Pul-i-Alam on Saturday night.
He identified the tribal elders as Afghan Aka, Ameen and Mir Mohammad. A villager was also killed in the overnight airstrike.
Police spokesman ShapurAhmadzai confirmed the raid and said an investigation was underway.
Rafiullah, a resident of the area, said the house came under attack in Padkhwab Shana area -- located two kilometre from the provincial capital.
But the Ministry of Defence in Kabul, it claimed.
