Nearly 100 Taliban, 12 security forces killed in Bala Murghab

KABUL militants and 12 security forces have been killed and in the Bala Murghab district of northern Badghis province in the past 48 hours, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said on Monday.

It added that 99 Taliban militants were killed and 25 others wounded in the operations over the past 48 hours. A number of vehicles, motorbikes and weapons belonging to the rebels were seized by the security forces.

Eight Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and four police personnel have also been killed and 10 other troops and 24 policemen wounded in the operations. The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
