KABUL have been killed during clashes in southern Ghazni and northwestern Badghis provinces, a statement from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Wednesday.
“The Taliban attacked security forces checkpoints in the Muqur district of Ghazni Province. Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) repulsed the attacks. As result, 10 Taliban were killed and 12 wounded,” the statement said.
The Taliban stormed security forces outposts in the Ab Kamri district of Badghis province which was confronted with intense response by security forces. Five Taliban were killed during the clash and some wounded, according to the statement.
“Unfortunately with great sadness we are announcing that during clashes in Muqur & Ab-Kamari we have lost four Afghan National Army heroes who fought with bravery and courage. We shall also mention 4 other ANA soldier sustained injuries.”
“The injured soldier transferred to Afghan National Army health facilities and all bodies of our martyred soldier have been transported to Kabul.”
