CHRIKAR (Pajhwok): Flash floods rendered hundreds of families homeless, damaged large swaths of agriculture land and 30 kilometres of roads in northern Parwan province, officials said Tuesday.
The floods that followed heavy rains also closed the Parwan-Bamyan highway.
Ahmad Lemar Usmanyar, the district administrative chief of Syedkhel district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the increasing level of water in Ghorban and Panjsher Rivers posed threat to homes on their banks and around 600 families from nearby villages had fled their homes.
