KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Thousands of residents of southern and eastern regions of the country during a large gathering in Kandahar province on Thursday announced their support for peace and asked the warring sides to cease hostilities.
The participants of the gathering in Kandahar City, the provincial capital, also stressed the important role of tribal councils in the peace process and asked the international community to remove problems facing peace in Afghanistan.
