SHARAN (Pajhwok): Around 140 people were taken sick after eating poisonous food at a wedding party in the Orgon district of southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Thursday.
Public Health Director Dr. Abdul Hadi Hashimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred in the Sorkamar village of the district late on Wednesday night.
He said: “More than 100 poisoned people were evacuated to the area’s main hospital and 34 others were taken to the district clinic. The individuals are suffering from fever, diarrhea and vomittin . . .
