GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Taliban militants have blown up a famous shrine in southern Ghazni province, an official said on Thursday.
Mohammad Arif Noori, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the rebels bombed the Shams-ul-Arifeen the shrine in the provincial capital at 3:00am.
He said, “The shrine is known as Shams Sahib and dozens of people from different provinces of the country visit it on on a daily basis.”
Bawar, a resident of the Ghazni City, verified the bombing. “The mausoleum was hundreds years old.” He said many people converged on it daily.
On the other hand, the Taliban have rejected their envelopment in the shrine bombing.
