JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead the deputy intelligence director for the Kama district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Faridullah told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Kandak area of the district at around 6:30pn on Saturday evening.
He said the gunmen, after killing Haji Haroon, managed to escape.
Naseer Khadum, cousin of Haji Haroon, said they did not have personal enmity with anyone. Haroon had been killed by militants, he claimed.
