KABUL (Pajhwok): The government in Kabul says it has no concerns for Afghan refugees living in Iran, which has warned of considering their expulsion.
Earlier in the week, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Araghchi said his country could deport Afghan refugees if the Trump administration continued to mount economic pressure on the Islamic republic.
In response, Minister of Refugees and Repatriation Hussain Alami Balkhi said he had been convinced by Araghchi's remarks and had no worries for Afghan refugees in Iran.
IRNA quoted Alami as saying he had found the explanations of Araghchi 'convincing'. He also praised support from the the Iranian nation and government to Afghan refugees.
The two neighbouring countries enjoyed historic relations, the minister noted, saying their bilateral cooperation in all areas was on the increase.
