GARDEZ/SHARANA (Pajhwok): A roadside bomb blast has killed two security personnel escorting a logistics supply convoy en route to southeastern Paktia province from Paktika province, police said on Wednesday.
The convoy came under attack in Sorki area of Zurmat district of Paktia, Paktika police spokesman Shah Mohammad Aryun said. The blast injured two policemen and damaged a Humvee vehicle.
A security official, who wished anonymity, said last night and yesterday security posts and the security convoy came under bomb and gun attacks from insurgents on the road between Paktia and Paktika.
