Both Qatar and Kuwait condemned the blast that killed five children and wounded 20 other people in the Oba district of Herat province on Saturday.
In Doha, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed Qatar’s position of rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of the causes and motives.
In a statement cited by QNA, the ministry expressed condolences to families of the victims, the government and the people of Afghanistan.
Separately, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also roundly condemned the bombing in Herat.
In a condolence message to President Ashraf Ghani, Sheikh Sabah expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation of the criminal act claiming innocent lives.
He slammed the blast as an act against all human values and wished speedy recovery to the injured, according to Xinhua.
