KABUL culture and religious affairs commission advisor Meena Mangal, an official said on Sunday.
Ex-journalist and television presenter Meena Mangal was gunned down by unidentified armed men in the limits of 8th police district of Kabul city on May 11, 2019.
Mangal had previously worked for Shamshad and Ariana private TV channels and presented different programmes.
Nasrat Rahimi, spokesman of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) wrote on his Facebook page that police had detained two suspects in connection with Meena Mangal murder case.
The suspects were detained during separate operations while they were attempting to escape, he said, adding the accused had confessed to their crime in initial investigation.
Earlier, Mangal’s father had claimed his daughter was killed by her husband as their divorce proceedings were underway.
