KABUL would agree to a bilateral ceasefire during Eidul Fitr holidays.
Speaking at an event marking 100 years of diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Russia in Moscow, Noor said if the Afghans joined hands and embraced each others, no foreigner could stay in Afghanistan.
The former governor of Balkh province said there was no family in Afghanistan which had not offered sacrifice. He said every Afghan family had given martyrs, suffered wounds and miseries due to the decades old conflict. He asked the Taliban and the Afghan government to stop killing each others.
“There is no house where coffins are not brought in, there is no city which has seen no blasts, attacks and flesh of human bodies.”
Noor said if the Afghans joined hands and hugged each others, no foreigners would be able to stay in Afghanistan or find excuse to stay.
Addressing the Taliban, Noor said: “Believe me, I know most of you and have friendship with some of you, if we and you are loyal to our country, we have to rescue it from the fire and bloodshed.”
The Jamiat-i-Islami party chief executive said they should bury the past and learn from the past and it was no appropriate and practical to push the country into a new civil war after the withdrawal of US forces to regain power.
He hoped the government and the Taliban would declare ceasefire during Eid and called for convening peace talks in Doha and direct intra-Afghan dialogue.
