<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> (Pajhwok): On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, 887, including some by the Attorney General Office (AGO), prisoners would be freed from the different jails of the country in compliance to presidential decree.</p>
<p>The president made the announcement on Monday evening during a visit to notorious Pul-i-Charkhi prison where he met the prisoners and held discussion.</p>
<p>The president inspected the construction work on administrative building, 50-bed hospital and a <a href="/en/mosque" class="glossify-link">mosque</a> and directed the authorities to complete the work until August this year.</p>
<p>Later the president broke fast, offered prayer and met the prisoners.</p>
<p><a href="/en/maulvi" class="glossify-link">Maulvi</a> Niyaz Mohammad and Sangar Aziz while representing the prisoners briefed the president regarding the problems being faced by the prisoners.</p>
<p>The president said a large number of prisoners would be freed on the bases of hid announcement regarding the release of 175 prisoners in <a href="/en/loya-jirga" class="glossify-link">Loya Jirga</a>.</p>
<p> It is worth mentioning that 887 prisoners would be freed from different jails on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. This would include 138 inmates which would be released by the Attorney General Office.</p>
