LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): The Taliban have freed 25 members of the People’s Peace Movement (PPM) after arresting them two days ahead of Eidul Fitr upong reaching Musa Qala district of southern Helmand province.
Bacha Khan Mauladad, the movement spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Taliban had freed their 25 members. He said it was not clear as yet why the Taliban took away the peace marchers.
He said it would become known later why the Taliban briefly took away the peace marchers with them.
