27 Afghan cricketers receive apartment keys in Kabul

KABUL Cricket Board (ACB) officials said on Wednesday.

Farid Hotak, ACB spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the apartments keys were handed over to the players in the presence of housing and urban development director Qayyum Shams and the ACB chairman.

According to him, the 27 apartments had been approved by ex-president Hamid Karzai in 2013.

He further said 15 apartments’ keys were given to national cricket team’s players and 12 to U-19 team former players in Sheikh Zayed Township in Kabul city.

He said after the national cricket team found its way to 2015 World Cup, then president Hamid Karzai approved these apartments for the payers’ encouragement.
