KABUL-A cricket team will travel to Bangladesh next month to play two four-day and five List-A matches against the A team of the host nation, according to a statement on Monday.
The two first-class matches are scheduled to start on fifth and 12th July respectively while the five 50-over list -A matches will be played on 19th, 21st, 24th, 27th and 29th July respectively before the players return to Afghanistan on 30th July.
Afghanistan Cricket Board has already undertaken the selection process for the mentioned tour in Kabul and Nangarhar where the final squad will be selected from a pool of 23 players.
The training camps for the U19 and Emerging Asia Cup tournaments are also underway in Kabul and Nangarhar. The camp will serve as the selection base for the U19 and Emerging players.
It is worth mentioning that the top-performing players from the Afghanistan-A and Emerging teams will be prioritized in future for national selection.
