KABUL (MoE) on Tuesday said it has suspended seven members of the ministry’s education oversight section for misusing their authority.
Nooria Nazhat, spokeswoman to the ministry, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the observers had been tasked with watching over the education process in Kabul, Badakhshan, Nangarhar and Kunar provinces.
She said duties of the seven education observers were suspended during last week. “These education observers violated their duty codes, they were asking for bribe in order to give a positive report about the education process of the area.”
She further said the suspended individuals had been under watch and instructors resisting them were also threatened of removal from their jobs.
Nazhat stressed cases of the suspended figures were currently under review in the audit department of the ministry and the accused would be introduced to judiciary organs if proved guilty.
