KABUL peace talks for paying no attention to intra-Afghan dialogue.
Addressing a press conference here, Mujaddedi said the talks between the US and Taliban representatives had so far yielded no proper result.
“The talks remain more focused on US problems and no efforts were made for resolving the Afghan issue. If the focus had been on intra-Afghan talks, it would have defiantly produced results,” he said.
Mujaddedi said without the ownership of the people and the government of Afghanistan, peace efforts would not have a positive outcome.
Regarding efforts by other countries to facilitate intra-Afghan talks, Mujaddedi added: “We welcome any country’s efforts that for the peace process of Afghanistan.”

But if their aim was to make decisions about Afghanistan without the presence of its government, it was not in favor of the war-torn country, he added.
In all, fifty seven delegates from Afghanistan are attending the moot including Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, senators and members of Afghan parliament at Bhurban.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Saturday said that Pakistan is resolute towards finding a peaceful solution to the Afghan conflict as "Pakistan supports an Afghanistan that is at peace with itself".
The Lahore Process has been set up to discuss different aspects of the Afghan peace process, which include bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan through connectivity, trade, economy and health.
Ex-president Hamid Karzai and former interior minister Hanif Atmar, who had been invited to the conference, had expressed their inability to participate in the meeting at Bhurban.
Mujaddedi also expressed concern over the tensions among members of Wolesi Jirga over the speaker’s election and urged them to resolve their problems in accordance with the law.
