KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): A police officer shot and killed his commander after a verbal dispute in northern Kunduz province on Sunday, an official said.
Police spokesman Sarwar Hussani told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place this morning.
“Police officer Wajid opened fire at his commander Maj. Wahab who later succumbed to his wounds at hospital,” he added.
Wajid managed to escape the police headquarters but police had launched a manhunt for him.
A security source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok: “The incident took place 10 meters from the police headquarters and the killer escaped.”
