KABUL (Pajhwok): Former Spy Chief and Presidential Hopeful Rahmatullah Nabil on Thursday accused President Ashraf Ghani over striking secret deals with Pakistani establishment during his two-day official trip.
“Instead of focusing on coercing the undeclared state hostilities of PAK Pres Ghani is approaching PAK by making secret deals with the Pakistani establishment. Similar deal was made in 2014 prior to the election, in which Pakistan was given unilateral leverage,” Nabil wrote on his social media handler.
“The visit of @ashrafghani to PAK is based on his tunnel vision & calculus to accommodate PAK’s interests to an unprecedented degree which he thinks will make PAK reciprocate by cooperating in peace deal with the Taliban,” he added.
“Without getting anything for AFGs except bloodshed and Infringement of our national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He is disparate to remain in power even setting on the skulls of thousands of our ANDSF and our people be one the agenda as well,” he said.
Earlier, President Ashraf Ghani arrived at the head of a high-level delegation in Islamabad on a two-day visit.
A statement from the Presidential Palace received by Pajhwok Afghan News said that President Ghani has reached to neighboring Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
