PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): At least 25 members of a pro-government public uprising group have been killed in a Taliban attack in northern Baghlan province, an official said on Saturday.
Mohammad Hanif, a member of the provincial council, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants stormed the pro-government militiamen’s check-post in Nahrain district on Friday night.
Around 25 militiamen were killed during the overnight attack, he said, adding they had urged the government to equip them with weapons but no action was taken.
