Maidan Wardak judge gunned down in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead a judge from central MaidanWardak province in the 5th police district of Kabul, an official said on Tuesday.

Qazi Habib Rahman Ibrahimi, a tribal council member, told Pajhwok Afghan News Fahimullah Fidayee was gunned down by motorcyclists in front of his residence in Bagh-i-Dawood area on Monday evening.

According to Ibrahimi, the judge original hailed from the Chak district of Maidan Wardak. He had currently moved to Kabul.

Firdous Faramarz, Kabul police spokesman, confirmed the incident and said police had launched an investigation into the murder. There has been no claim of responsibility for the murder so far.
