KABUL (Pajhwok): National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib has pledged to take effective steps against existing threats in central Parwan province, according to a statement from the National Security Council on Friday.
Mohib expressed the view during a meeting with members of the Parwan Military Council headed by Govenror Fazal Din Ayar.
The council members complained that some powerful individuals and politicians interfered in the council’s affairs.
The members informed the meeting regarding their and said that security institutions worked jointly and in complete coordination against the threat of terrorism.
The council member briefed the meeting regarding security situation in the province and pointed out some of the areas where insurgents are active.
Mohib stressed that law should be implemented on powerful individuals and ordinary people equally; adding that political interference in military affairs and violation of law was not acceptable and would be resisted strongly.
He pledged to take effective steps to eliminate existing threats in Parwan and all requirements of provincial administration and security forces would be ensured.
