KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): With midterm exams underway, hundreds of schoolteachers in southeastern Khost province have gone on strike against non-distribution of land plots.
The teachers have gone on strike in Bak, Zazai Maidan, Sabri Trezio and Ali Sher districts, refusing to go to schools.
The strikers said they had launched the protest due to opposition from residents to a township for teachers in Sahra Bagh area.
Nazifullah, a resident and teacher of Alisher district, said they would not conduct exams until the government resolved their problem.
