In a statement, the National Security Council said the Indonesian diplomat Desra Percaya met Atiqullah Nosher, deputy head of NSC, in Kabul.
According to the statement, the Indonesian official said the trilateral meeting was scheduled to be held on August 26 and 27.
Nosher thanked the Indonesian government for cooperation on the Afghan peace and reconciliation process and hailed the first trilateral ulema meeting as effective.
Percaya urged the Afghan government to name religious scholars for the event and said Jakarta remained committed to the Afghan-led peace process.
He added his country would also hold a women’s conference on discussing peace, development and other issues.
Indonesian Ambassador Dr. Arif Rahman was also present at the meeting in Kabul. Indonesian held the first trilateral meeting of ulema last year.
