KABUL and the Prophet’s Mosque (GPH) has planned 140 initiatives to be carried out by 10,000 staff for this year’s haj season.

GPH director Shaykh ‘Abdur-Rahmaan ibn ‘Abdil-‘Azeez as-Sudays in a statement confirmed GPH readiness to serve the pilgrims as well as providing all amenities they would require in order to perform their religious worship in comfort, ease and safety.

He said apart from the initiatives, a number of elements related to work development, performance enhancement, human resource training, and working around the clock were also planned to ensure that the pilgrims would be provided with the best of services.

This year’s haj season aimed at achieving several objectives include assisting the pilgrims to perform their religious worship with ease, calm, and tranquility, without any significant obstacles, he said.

He said resources would be harnessed to serve the pilgrims, with utmost care using wisdom and effective methods, necessary amenities would also be made available, to meet the standards aspired by the nation’s leadership.

Ash-Shaykh ‘Abdur-Rahmaan added that as the custodian of the two holy mosques, they were also keen to ensure safety, security, and ease for all pilgrims as this would allow them to remain focused on their religious worship.

GPH would also provide live translation for Friday sermons in the two holy mosques in 10 languages, and live translation for the sermon in Arafah, for the benefit of the pilgrims in their various native languages.
