KABUL (Pajhwok): Ex-president Hamid Karzai neither peace efforts nor elections -- two key national processes -- were controlled by the Afghans.
Karzai told a media briefing in Kabul that none of the two major exercises was led or owned by Afghanistan. He suggested outsiders were in control of the peace and electoral processes.
He insisted the peace effort must be led and owned by the Afghans themselves. The process not be left to outsiders, he said. .
