MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): One person was killed and at least six others were injured when a stray artillery bullet hit a wedding party in the Chak district of central Maidan Wardak province last night, residents said on Friday.
Mohammad Saleh, who was slightly injured in the incident, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened in Ali Himmat village.
He said Afghan National Army troops had fired the artillery round that struck the wedding ceremony at about 10pm, killing a young man, Qudratullah.
