JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Local police and Taliban militants clashed in the Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday night, leaving 18 people dead and wounded on both sides, an official said on Friday.
Nangarhar governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News the clash broke out after a group of insurgents waged attack on local police posts in Ghaziabad area of the district.
