ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Police in southwestern Nimroz province seized 700 kilograms of heroin destined for Iran and arrested an alleged smuggler on Saturday.
Police spokesman Mohammad Ibrahim told Pajhwok Afghan News the suspect was detained at the Abresham Bridge on the border with Iran.
He said the smuggler had hidden the drugs in 88 capsules that he had consumed. The detainee was being investigated, he added.
