MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Local officials on Saturday said Taliban militants lashed a girl and a man for elopement charges in a kangaroo court in Almar district of northwestern Faryab province.
Abdul Karim Yourish, Faryab police spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News that Taliban militants punished the two persons on elopement in Qarayee area of the district on Friday afternoon.
After the Taliban’s court decision, both the guy, 20 and the girl, 17 was lashed 50 times each, he said, adding the girl was handed over to her family . . .
