KABUL on Wednesday said moving closer to a deal with US during ongoing talks in Qatari capital of Doha.
On Tuesday, Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen told journalists outside the upmarket Doha members’ club where the talks are taking place: “We have progress in this round so we are finalizing the remaining points.
Shaheen tweeted today: “Talks underway today as well, we are closer to agreement and we will soon announce good news to our Muslim nation.”
According to reports, intra-Afghan talks will take place in Norway after a possible deal between US and Taliban.
Reports say US chief negotiator ZalmayKhalilzad may arrive to Kabul tomorrow and will brief President Ashraf Ghani on peace deal.
