KABUL (Pajhwok): Five civilians were killed in an airstrike in Narkh district of central MaidanWardak province on Saturday afternoon, a public representative alleged.
Sharifullah Hotak, a member of the Provincial Council, told Pajhwok Afghan News the airstrike targeted a Saracha model car in Deh Hayat area of the district, killing five civilians.
However, Muhibullah Sherzai, the governor’s spokesman, said initial intelligence information showed the slain individuals were Taliban militants.
