<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> (Pajhwok): Afghan forces recaptured Yamgan district of northeastern Badakhshan province on Monday after four years, the Ministry of Defense said on Monday.</p>
<p>A MoD statement said the district was recaptured as a result of airstrikes and ground operations and Afghan national flag was raised again on the district after four years.</p>
<p>The <a href="/en/taliban" class="glossify-link">Taliban</a> sustained heavy losses and many of their fighters surrendered to ANDSF, the statement said, adding committed and brave Afghan forces were progressing and continuing operations in Badakhshan against the enemies of peace and stability.</p>
