PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): The Security forces have broken the siege of the capital of northern Baghlan province after 10 days.
10 days back, the militants staged coordinated attacks on Pul-i-Khumri and as a result the Kabul-North highway remained closed for traffic.
Police spokesman Javed Basharat told Pajhwok Afghan News the security personnel conducted clearing operations in parts of the provincial capital over the past few nights.
He claimed the insurgents had been beaten back nd the siege of the city . . .
