AGO says probing Mullah Tarakhel-Munib tussle

KABUL and Islamic Affairs Minister Abdul Hakim Munib was being investigated.

Few days back, the Ministry of Hajj and Islamic Affairs in a statement said that former lawmaker Mullah Tarakhel and his brothers insulted Abdul Hakim Munib in the Presidential Palace’s mosque.

Days after the incident, President Ashraf Ghani during his meeting with Munib assured that the case would be investigated by judiciary organs.

Jamshir Rasouli, AGO spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that they had received the case.

He said an investigation into the case had been launched and documents from relevant sources were being obtained.
