KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) on Sunday said presidential candidates after cancelling their candidacy and joining other tickets could not use government resources.
Zahra Bayan Shinwari, the IECC chief, told a press conference here that presidential candidates who had given up their nomination had no right to use government facilities and resources according to the law.
“Candidates who have relinquished their candidacy previously but still use government resources would be fined according to the law; but those who have recently cancelled their candidacy . . .
