JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Top civil and military officials in eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday asked people to fearlessly participate in Saturday’s presidential election and be assured about their protection.
They expressed these views during a joint press conference at the provincial media center. Governor Shah Mahmood Miakhel, Selab Military Corps commander Gen. Abdul Hadi Tarin, Nangarhar police chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Raqib Mubarez, provincial intelligence chief Gen. Nazar Ali Wahidi, border police chief Gen. Mohammad Ayub Hussain and public order police chief in the east Brig. Gen. Nasir Ahmad Sapi were present at the press conference.
