HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Fifteen Taliban have been killed in Afghan forces counter attack and airstrike in western Herat province, an official said on Wednesday.
Governor Spokesman Jilani Farhad told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban attacked security forces check post in the Farsi district on Tuesday night in which two security personnel were killed.
After the Taliban attack Afghan forces targeted the Taliban positions in which 10 Taliban were killed.
According to Farhad, Afghan forces conducted airstrike on the Taliban Commander Mullah Abdul Rahman’s positions in Chiest district in which five Taliban were killed.
Taliban Spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi said the Taliban attacked Farsi district centre on Tuesday night in which five security personnel were killed and six other injured.
