GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Construction work on a girls’ school building was launched on Monday in southern Ghazni province, where another school building was completed, officials.
Ghazni governor’s spokesman, Mohammad Arif Noori, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the building for Wali Asr Girls High School was being constructed in Ghazni city, the provincial capital.
“This facility will have 12 classrooms, two administrative rooms, a toilet, drinking water and other required sections”, he said.
Noori said the building construction would cost 8.5 million afghanis and take a year to complete and will have the capacity for 800 students.
Hamida Hussaini, a student of the school, said, “Our school has no building and we study in a rented house which is very small. If the new building is completed, it would solve our problem.”
