JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Intelligence operatives have detained 17 armed criminals, including Taliban and Daesh members during the past one week in eastern Nangarhar province, the governor said Tuesday.
Governor Shah Mehmood Miakhel told a press conference here that National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel had arrested 17 persons, including eight Daesh or so-called Islamic State (IS) rebels and three Taliban militants.
He said the detainees included three armed robbers accused of kidnapping people in military uniform for ransom . . .
