JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least 13 insurgents have been killed in joint security operation and a clash in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Saturday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the security forces conducted operations in Achin district over the past 24 hours.
He said 10 Daesh militants were killed and three of their hideouts, eight posts and some other facilities were destroyed during the operations.
He added the security forces also defused two landmines planted by Daesh fighters.
