AIBAK (Pajhwok): At least six Taliban insurgents have been killed and 11 others wounded during security operation in northern Samangan province, an official said on Sunday.
Deputy police chief Mohammad Hussian Tahiri said that security forces conducted operation in Robatak village of Samangan City, the provincial capital on Saturday.
He said security forces had cleared Robatak, Afghania, Bekh-i-Tangi and Arabha areas from militants’ presence and captured 11 motorcycles.
He added the militants had beaten local residents after penetrating again and several people fled their localities.
There has been so far no word from Taliban in this regard.
