AIBAK (Pajhwok): Two workers were believed killed after a coalmine collapsed in Dara-i-Sauf Bala district of northern Samangan province, an official said on Tuesday.
Ahmad Ali Hussaini, the district administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the coalmine partially collapsed burying two workers and their bodies were yet to be pulled out.
He said the coalmine’s tunnel was being extracted in personal and private capacity, adding that efforts underway to retrieve the dead bodies and an investigative team had been tasked with probing the incident.
