TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): The police chief for Dehrawud district of central Uruzgan province was injured in a suicide attack on Saturday.
Abdul Manan Alizai, the district administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the suicide attack happened in a vegetables market shortly after 12pm.
He said the bomber exploded explosives attached to his body near the pick-up of the district police chief.
The police chief and another policeman were slightly wounded in the attack and other people stayed unharmed.
