KABUL (Pajhwok): Three civilians and as many policemen have been killed as a result of two separate incidents of violence in southern Zabul province, an official said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Zmarai Sahak told Pajhwok Afghan News three civilians were killed and two others wounded in roadside bomb blast in the Takir area of Mizani district on Tuesday evening.
He said the injured were evacuated to hospital and their condition was said to be stable.
Another security source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok three policemen were killed by Taliban in police ranks in Arghandab district on Tuesday night.
Taliban spokesman Qari Yousaf Ahmadi claimed 10 policemen were killed in infighting in the district.
