KABUL) has complained about slow-paced work by Dermalog Company and said it has received information about 47,000 barcodes related to different issues so far.
IEC Commissioner Maulana Mohammad Abdullah told reporters here the Dermalog Company was expected to share information regarding transparent votes and repeated bar codes with the IEC, but a limited number of such barcodes had been received by the commission.
He said: “As of 10:00pm, the Dermalog Company will provide information regarding transparency of votes but the firm dispatched 47,000 barcodes linked with issues such as under age voters, photos with different faces, repeated photos and photos taken from another photo.”
He said the Dermalog Company has pledged to provide more information regarding barcodes linked with other issues till the end of the day.
He said the work was slow paced but the IEC was striving to collect all matters and explain it briefly to people based on polling stations, polling centres, district and provinces.
It is worth mentioning that Dermalog Company is a German company and was responsible for providing biometric devices to IEC for elections.
