KABUL (Pajhwok): The rehabilitation of electricity pylons through which electricity is supplied to Kabul and ten provinces has been completed at the cost of 10 million Afghanis, an official said on Friday.
Wahidullah Tawhidi, spokesperson for the Da Afghanistan Breshana Shirkat (DABS) told reporters last night the technical staff of the power utility were able to connect the supply imported electricity from Uzbekistan last night after 20 days of work.
He said it took time to rehabilitate the electricity pylons and the price of one pylon is 280,000 afghanis.
He demanded public punishment for perpetrators behind the destruction of these pylons.
According to the National Directorate of Security (NDS) the case of alleged detainees in this case will be referred to the Attorney General Office soon.
