Killer of man in front of child shot dead: NDS

KABUL) personnel have shot dead a gunman who killed a man in front of his child in southern Kandahar province.

Bashir Ahmadi, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the NDS special forces conducted raids in different parts of the provincial capital.

During a raid in the 9^th police district, one suspect put up resistance and fired at the security forces. He was gunned down in retaliatory gunfire.

Based on actionable intelligence, the official said, the deceased had gunned down a father in front of his child in Kandahar province two days back.

He added the raiding party detained five other attackers who targeted government servants, military officials and elders in Kandahar City.

Amanullah was killed on Thursday while heading to Kandahar City from Arghandab along with his daughter. The girl’s photo went viral on social media.

Governor Hayatullah Hayat wrote on his Facebook page he would avenge the killing of the child’s father.
